Beginner help with Calculations

Topics: Resolved

I tried my first calculation using OLAPPivotTable extensions. it is simply

[BrokerOrderLevelClean].[BrokerFilledShares]*2

Where [BrokerOrderLevelClean} is the table name and [BrokerFilledshares] is the measure name.

I get back a "#Value!" in the cell in the PivotTable.

Do I have the syntax wrong or is it something else?

thanks

Try [Measures].[BrokerFilledShares] * 2

If that doesn't work, I would recommend studying this page:
http://olappivottableextend.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=Calculations%20Help&referringTitle=Home

And I would recommend asking this general MDX question at:

Still haven't got a calculation to work. I download the Adventureworks database and created a cube. I then created a Pivot Table and using the OLAP Extension, put in a simple formula:

[Measures].[InternetOrderCount] * 2

I still got a #Value! message in the cell.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Thanks. I got it to work. I didn't realize that the Pivot Table field List put spaces in the field names
