Calcluated members is missing when I change the ODC

Dear ,

Currently there are two SSAS database ,the structure is same , I create caulcuate member  base on SSAS DABASE 1 in excel 2010, but when I change my odc and point to SSAS Database 2,my calculatemember is missing ,both of ssas structure is same , how to solve this quesion ,look forward your reply

This is an Excel bug. I have reported it to the Excel team recently in hopes they'll fix it in the next version of Excel.

If this is a blocking problem for you right now, I would suggest you do one of three things:

1. Just add the calculations back in after you change connections.

2. Use the Open XML SDK to change the connection string via code: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=5124

3. Open a support case with Microsoft and get them to fix this in Excel 2010 and provide you a hotfix.

Please keep us posted which route you choose. I'll try to remember to update this thread if I find out any information on whether this will be fixed in Excel vNext.

Thanks a lot ,this is very usefull, I'd like to update the odc file to handle this issue ,and  submit a ticket to microsoft ....

It doesn't appear they're going to fix this bug in Excel 2013. If you have any luck with submitting a ticket to Microsoft yourself, let us know.
