Use the 64-bit download for...

• Excel 2010 64-bit
• Excel 2013 64-bit

Just download and run the EXE. There is no need to uninstall the previous release. If you have problems getting the add-in to work, see the Troubleshooting Installation wiki page.

The new features in this release are:

• Support for Excel 2013
• Upgrading to the AS2012 version of ADOMD.NET to now support connections to .bism files. (This upgrade required adding the .NET Framework v3.5 SP1 as a prerequisite. Use a prior version of OLAP PivotTable Extensions if this prerequisite is a problem for your organization.)

This release does fix a few minor bugs:

• Searching dimension data may return measures
• Error while connected to PowerPivot for SharePoint workbook: The value '<date>' is not supported for the connection string property 'Data Source Version'

Note, prior to 8/21/2012, there was a bug related to regional settings. The installers were updated on 8/21/2012 to fix this issue.

Note, prior to 10/1/2012, there was a bug that prevented installing on Excel 2013 64-bit. The 64-bit installer was updated to fix this bug.
